"Item may contain a chemical, aerosol or pesticide" on Walmart: what it means
Walmart's guide says this error means its compliance team identified a possible hazardous material and needs the material type specified. It doesn't establish that every affected item is a pesticide. If yours is a mosquito repellent, the following checks address that product type.
The things you must have
EPA registration, establishment number or exemption: Ask your factory for its EPA registration or establishment number, or its exemption statement.
Country of origin marking: Your factory supplies English markings.
Importer registration and customs bond: Your broker files CBP Form 5106; they'll arrange bonds for formal entries.
Check these first
If your product is a mosquito repellent, you'll need to check its EPA registration or minimum risk exemption with your supplier when reviewing its paperwork. If your repellent uses a minimum risk exemption, check the complete ingredient list with your factory when reviewing the label prepared for that exempt product. If your repellent is sold in different states, ask your supplier about the state registrations when checking the locations where you'll offer the repellent product. If your product is a pesticide device, check the EPA establishment number on its label when asking your factory about the facility manufacturing that device. If your import is a pesticide or device without an applicable exemption, you'll need its EPA arrival notice when preparing the documents for that import.
