What to look at for this product

If your bonded foam carpet has carpet bonded to foam backing, ask your factory for the finished measurements used to select its flammability test.

If your mat is being tested for fire performance, request the report covering the carpet and bonded backing together.

If your mat has a textile face over foam, ask your supplier for the fiber content disclosure for its carpet surface.

If your mat will have imported product markings, check the manufacturing country and RN details in its label plan with your supplier.

If your mat will sell in Vermont, ask about PFAS in its carpet treatments or other finishes.

If your mat is being imported for US sale, you'll need its general certificate identifying the fire safety rule applied to the finished mat.

Labels and state rules

Fiber content, country of origin and RN; noncompliant small rugs need a permanent "FLAMMABLE" label (secondary source).

PFAS bans: Minnesota in 2025, Vermont and Maine in 2026. California AB 1817 excludes rugs.
